Urban green spaces are rapidly deteriorating in most parts of Nigeria. The study assessed open grown trees composition and diversity in selected Research Institutes within Ibadan Region with the aim of comparing the ecological diversity in the study locations. This was achieved through species identification and mensuration of all open grown trees species that were accessible in the study areas. Open grown trees with Diameter at breast height ≥ 10cm were assessed for growth characteristics of total height and diameter at breast height. Basal area and volume were estimated from measured growth characteristics. Tree species were identified by a taxonomist at Federal Herbarium in Ibadan. Biodiversity indices of Shannon diversity index, species evenness and species dominance were computed to see variation in tree community of the areas. The Shannon diversity index calculated was higher in IITA with a value of 3.04 compared to that of CRIN with a value of 2.36. A dominance value of 0.15 and 0.05 was obtained for CRIN and IITA respectively. The study concludes that both institutes are repository of large diversity of tree species thereby, helping in the conservation of biodiversity while ameliorating weather. It is recommended that educational institutions from all levels located within the region as well as private organizations and individuals should plant trees within their domains in order to create conducive green environments that would promote sustainable environment in the region. This is possible when government provide adequate incentive and annual rewards for establishments with the best green environments

Due to the high rate of suicide all over the world resulting in about 800,000 people dying by suicide each year. The instances where suicide victims constantly publish suicide messages deliberately to express their feelings on social media, there is need to address suicide issues, and how suicide can be prevented. Therefore, as a solution to this, there is need to create a model that classifies these users" social media posts and identify users with suicidal ideations, so as to prevent future suicide cases by getting the identified users the necessary help needed. The study adopted a binary classification of a suicide-related tweet with respect to age 15 up till 29 years, on a document-level basis. A machine learning approach was employed to solve the problem of tweet classification and predictions. The dataset was generated from a Twitter API. It was observed that suicidal issues are rampant among the young adult, which need urgent attention. The paper recommended that timely intervention should be provided so as to reduce suicidal victims and preserve the future of young adults

This study investigated the effect of organic manure (cow dung, poultry and pig manure) on the growth of Cedrelaodorata in order to determine the most suitable fertilizer for the plant growth. Cow dung manure (CM), poultry manure (PM) and pig manure (pig waste) (PIM) were used as fertilizers. Manure were weighed and applied as treatment to the soil at 50g of CM (TI), 50g of PM (T2), 50g of PIM (T3), 50g combination of CM, PM and PIM (T4) and topsoil as control (T5). The experiment was laid in a completely randomized Design (CRD) and replicated six times and heights stem diameter and leaf production parameters were assessed for 8weeks. The result of study showed that seedlings raised with the combination of all the manures (T5) had the highest mean value of 13.30 cm followed by 12.75) while T3 has the lowest mean height value of 11.55cm. The mean number was higher in the seedlings raised in T5 (73.70) and lowest in T1 with mean of 45.62 leaves. The stem diameter values of Cedrelaodorata seedling raised with treatment 5 had the mean highest stem diameter 3.78 -5.01 mm for the period of study followed by treatment 2 (3.67- 4.36 mm) while treatment1 has the lowest mean value of 2.50- 3.45mm. Application organic fertilizer had significant effects on all the growth parameters considered. This study has shown that organic manure enhanced the growth of Cedrelaodorata seedlings and production
